“Likes it Hot” Japeth Paul C. Aguilar, more commonly known as Japeth, was born 25th of January 1987 in Sasmuan Pampanga. Aguilar began playing in the PBA in 2009 and was a highlight fixture in Gilas Philippine Basketball Team for years. Japeth at the height of 6’9″ is an athletic anomaly, and he combined it with his masterful dunks, towering blocks and unbelievable gravitational defiance.

Aguilar is the first Filipino cager born and raised countryside to work out with an NBA team. Japeth attended open workouts with NBA and D-League teams Bakersfield Jam, New Orlean Hornets and Sta Cruz Warriors. Aguilar was drafted 109th overall in the NBA D-League in 2012 as part of Sta. Cruz Warriors. He was a practice player for the Warriors but was later cut from the final roster.
