PBA News: PBA scoring machine Terrence Romeo of Globalport Batang Pier is reportedly on the trading block. In a published report by Musong Castillo (PDI), it cited an unimpeachable source confirming that Romeo requested to be traded out from Globaport since the Commissioner’s Cup. Batang Pier is reportedly looking for a possible deal with Meralco Bolts to ship Romeo to the MVP-owned franchise in exchange for Chris Newsome and Baser Amer.

However, as reported, Bolts coach Norman Black wouldn’t want to part ways with Newsome, his mentored player ever since his days in the UAAP with the Ateneo Blue Eagles. Former number one draft pick Mo Tautuaa was also floated likewise for possible trade as Talk N Text was reported by another source to be interested with Romeo’s services.

Terrence, a four-year Batang Pier, had a stellar 2016-17 PBA performance but failed to bring his team to the PBA Finals. Romeo averaged 23.3 ppg, 3.7 rpg and 5.5 apg during the PBA Season. He also had a monstrous 28.2 ppg personal average in the Philippine Cup, but Globalport lost to TNT in the quarterfinals. During the PBA Governor’s Cup, Batang Pier fell to eventual champions Ginebra, again in the quarterfinals.
