Ang komprehensibong talaan ng MPBL Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League, History, Records, Champions at MVPs. Naglalaman ng mga bago at nakaraang kampeon ng CESAFI. Listahan ito ng kasaysayan, mga MVP at dominanteng koponan na naglaro sa MPBL. Ang MPBL ay kinabibilangan ng Batangas City Athletics, Muntinlupa Cagers, Bulacan Kuyas, Mandaluyong El Tigre, San Juan Knights, Manila Stars at iba pa.
The MPBL or Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League was formed and founded by Senator and legendary boxer Manny Pacquiao on Agust 29, 2017.
The MPBL, according to Pacquiao, does not directly compete with the PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) where he once played in (as former member of KIA). Touted to be a semi-professional basketball league, it's grassroots design is reminiscent to the defunct MBA or Metropolitan Basketball Association and the Liga Pilipinas. The MPBL accepts players from the amateur ranks and former professionals from the PBA. However, they only allow one Fil-Am per team. MPBL also implemented a height limit of 6'4 on Fil-Foreigners. A requirement of three homegrown cagers, and a limitation of only five former Pros per team.
A Preseason was held on September 2017, and the Bulacan Kuyas emerged as Preseason champions. MPBL Seasons will be divided to five conferences, namely Rajah Cup, Datu Cup, Lakan Cup, Mumbaki Cup, and Urduja Cup.
The first MPBL season was the Anta Rajah Cup which opened on Januart 25, 2018 at the Araneta Coliseum. The first skirmish was between the Caloocan Supremos and the Parañaque Patriots which the Patriots won. Batangas City Tanduay Athletics emerged as the first national champion of the MPBL Anta Rajah Cup 2018. The next conference was named as the Datu Cup.
