Makapaglalaro sana sa Gilas ngunit napigilan matapos hindi agad mapayagan ng Lakers. More on Jordan Clarkson:

Playing under the shadow of several Lakers stars for a time, Clarkson proved he can step forward for Los Angeles as he kept on attacking the rim unmitigated and in conducting LA backcourt in his marquee matchup with Russel Westbrook. It was Lakers versus Oklahoma Thunder on March 24, 2015. Though the Lakers eventually lost to the Thunder, Clarkson wowed the crowd with his 30 points and 7 assists output.

Contrary to popular belief, Clarkson is not bound to the FIBA HAGOP rule, which requires players to declare citizenship before the age of 16. Clarkson is a natural-born Filipino and has had a Filipino passport since the age of 12.

• Trivia:
Clarkson was named as starting point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers after Kobe Bryant sustained a season ending injury in 2014. Clarkson would later be named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team after averaging 15.9 PPG, 45.8 FG%, 5 APG, 4.2 RPG and 32.1 minutes per game in 38 games. Clarkson was so impressive that some pundits likened him to a prospective Monta Ellis, Damian Lillard or Russel Westbrook caliber player.
• His Memorable Quote:
• "I think its pretty cool, that's what drives me everyday. I gotta work hard and continue to do good things so I can continue to be that person they look up to," said Clarkson on being a role model.
• "Yeah, you know I always had that growing up. Anytime for me, it's kinda just shutting people up. Silence is a calmer for me, so that's the best thing to do," stated Jordan on being the usual underdog.
• What others said:
"I think that (he) was a steal of a pick. Great pace, great feel for the game. Can shoot the deep ball," according to Mike Trudell of Lakers.com, Kobe can't believe Clarkson was there for the taking with the 48th pick in the draft back in June 2014. When asked who's impressed him in camp, Kobe mentioned rookie Jordan Clarkson, saying how surprised he is that Clarkson fell to the Lakers in the draft."
"We had him higher on our draft board. Good size, good defender, excels in attacking the rim," said LA Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak
