Gilas Pilipinas ravaged Taiwan B, 96-67, to bag the first ever Silver finish of Pilipinas Basketball in William Jones Cup 2015 in Taipei Taiwan. “El Granada” Gary David exploded with 22 Points to blast Taiwan White team winless in the tourney.

Philippine Basketball Team made 10 of 22 treys for a 45% threepoint shooting compared to Taiwan’s 28%. RP dribblers also outmuscled Taipei youngsters with 48 against 33 Rebounds. In addition, the Filipinos outdished their opponent 17 to 12.
Gary David exploded for 16 Points of his total 20 Points in the third quarter alone.
The Filipinos outscored Taiwan dribblers in the 2nd Quarter, 26-11. RP dominated Taipei with balanced team scoring. Jayson Castro topped with total 12 Points at the half.
Abueva led in defense and scoring for RP Five in the 1st quarter with his 8 Points but gets rested after an accidental bump with a Taiwanese player. RP made 47.4% fieldgoal clip to Taiwan’s 41.2% to stem Taipei’s 7-0 1st quarter run.
Gilas two losses came from Iran and South Korea in the single round robin. The Silver medal finish of the Philippines is a first for the SouthEast Asian nation, but Iran notches one Gold ahead of RP in the total medal standing in Jones Cup history. Iran has 5 Gold medals, while RP has 4 Gold and 1 Silver finish in total.
