PCBL 2015 News: Racal Kama Motors escaped Foton Toplander 76-74, while Caida Tile Masters slipped past Sta Lucia Realtors, 65-64, in the Pilipinas Commercial Basketball League (PCBL) Founders Cup this Monday at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan. Mark Montuano led Kama with 22 big markers and 13 rebounds, while Janus Lozada steered Caida with 10 baskets in the other PCBL game.

Si Mark Montuano ang nanguna para sa Kama sa kanyang 22 buslo at 13 rebounds, at maging si Janus Lozada ay nagtimon sa Caida gamit ang kanyang 10 puntos sa isa pang laro ng PCBL.

With debuting coach Aris Dimaunahan calling the shots, Racal Kama Motors rallied late in the game to snatch the victory courtesy of heroics by former PBA players Rudy Lingganay and JR Cawaling.

Cawaling hit a dagger trey in the closing seconds of the game for a 75-74 cushion, while Lingganay converted a single charity to ensure the Kama 76-74 win.

Mikee Reyes failed to bail-out Foton by missing his clutch treys but still ended-up with a total of 14 baskets. Levi Hernandez and Ed Rivera led in scoring for the losing effort of Foton, with 20 and 16 buckets respectively.




In the second game, Caida Tiles continued in dominating the PCBL by surging ahead to a 4-0 win-loss slate, after beating a game Sta Lucia Realtors squad.

Lozada, who topscored for Caida also made a critical trey in the final canto, giving the Tile Masters a comfortable cushion lead of 64-57 with 3:30 remaining. Jackson Corpuz, Ford Ruaya and Billy Ray Robles all made 9 points apiece for Caida respectively.

Jett Vidal missed the possible game-winning three point bomb in the dying seconds but still finished with 19 markers. Jerald Bautista meanwhile hauled 12 baskets.

The PCBL games on Wednesday include a double-header in San Juan Arena with Euro-Med Laboratories battling Cagayan Rising Suns at 4PM, while Supremo Lex Builders-OLFU faces Jumbo Plastic at 6PM.
