NCAA 2015 News: Colegio de San Juan De Letran Knights barged to the Finals of NCAA Season 91 Men’s Basketball after upsetting Mapua Institute of Technology Cardinals, 91-90, this Tuesday at the SM MOA Arena in Pasay. Diminutive Mark Cruz powered Letran with his 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists, while teammate Kevin Racal added 19 baskets and 12 boards.

Si Mark Cruz ang pumuwersa para sa Letran sa kanyang 26 puntos, 6 rebounds at 6 assists, at gayundin ang kakampi niya na si Kevin Racal na nagdagdag ng 19 basket at 12 boards.
Letran’s victory serves as the third time that the Knights will enter the NCAA Finals in four years. The surprise win also meant that Mapua is knocked out from this year’s NCAA championship despite reaching the Final Four for the first time in history.
Mapua still commanded a manageable lead in the third canto courtesy of Exeqiuel Biteng’s dagger treys to jumpstart with a 51-45 cushion for the Cardinals. However, Cruz stymied the Mapua run as he dropped 13 of his 26 points, including three consecutive treys all in the third quarter.
The game was in no way a blowout despite the Letran win as the lead changed thirteen time all throughout the ballgame.
Biteng led the losing cause of Mapua with his 17 markers, while Darell Menina and Josan Nimes dropped 15 baskets apiece.
