NAASCU: Centro Escolar University Scorpions mangled Rizal Technological University Blue Thunder, 92-56, in the Season 15 of NAASCU (National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities) Men’s Basketball this Saturday at RTU Gym Mandaluyong City. Rodrigo Ebondo topscored for CEU with 15 markers and Jason Opiso chipped-in 12 points, while reigning MVP Samboy De Leon provided not only the morale boost but also 11 bench points.

Nanguna si Rodrigo Ebondo para sa CEU sa kanyang 15 buslo at si Jason Opiso naman ay nagtala ng 12 puntos, maging ang kasalukuyang MVP na si Samboy De Leon ay di lang nagbigay inspirasyon sa koponan ngunit nagdagdag din ng 11 puntos.
De Leon, who was drafted but later cut by PBA Star Hotshots, led the CEU run with his five vital markers that lifted the Scorpions to a cushion 27-10 lead at the end of the first canto.
The Scorpions are now undefeated in 15th NAASCU and serves as the leader of current standings. The Johnedel Cardel coached Blue Thunder absorbed its first defeat and now sports a 4-1 win-loss slate.
Alvin Pronto led the losing cause for RTU with 13 points.
