Ginebra 1980 PBA Team Roster. This Ginebra PBA Team was known as Gilbey’s Gin. Gilbey’s finished 7th in the PBA Open Conference (7-11 slate), and 4th in the All-Filipino Conference (9-12 slate). Pilo Pumaren and Nemie Villegas coached them in two conferences. Willie Generelao bagged Rookie of the Year (ROY) honors in 1980 PBA Season.

Koponan ng Ginebra 1980 sa PBA season. Itong koponan ng Ginebra sa PBA ay pinakilala bilang Gilbey’s Gin. Nagtapos ang Gilbey’s sa ika-pito sa PBA Open Conference (7-11 kaltada), at ika-apat sa All-Filipino Conference (9-12 kaltada). Sina Pilo Pumaren and Nemie Villegas ang mga coach sa dalawang kumperensya. Nakuha naman ni Willie Generelao ang Rookie of the Year (ROY) sa 1980 PBA Season.
Coaches Filomeno “Pilo” Pumaren and Nemie Villegas split the coaching jobs for Gilbey’s Gin in two conferences. Pumaren headed the Open Conference while Villegas led the All Filipino.
Larry McNeill and James Bradley reinforced Gilbey’s Gin in the Open Conference 1980 Season.

• Orlando Delos Santos acquired from Filmanbank
• Wilfredo Tanduyan acquired from Crispa
• Armando Torres acquired from Crispa
• Marlowe Jacutin acquired from Royal
• James Bradley and Larry McNeill acquired as import reinforcements
• Gilbey’s was eliminated early in the Open Conference
• In the All-Filipino Conference, Gilbey’s advanced to the four-team Semifinals but failed to advance, losing all single round-robin games.
