NCAA 2015: Mapua Institute of Technology Cardinals brought down struggling Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals, 88-63, this Friday October 9 in Season 91 of NCAA Seniors Men’s Basketball at FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan. Allwell Oraeme topscored with 16 markers while Josan Nimes contributed 13 baskets and 7 assists for the Cardinals.

Si Allwell Oraeme ang nanguna sa kanyang 16 puntos, maging si Josan Nimes ay nagtala ng 13 buslo at 7 assists para sa Cardinals.

MIT Cardinals boosted their NCAA Final Four chances as they handily defeated the Generals by limiting the latter with a dismal 13-point output in the second half. The ballgame was close in the first half, but Mapua stepped on the gas and never looked back.

Mapua forced EAC to a confidence-shaking 29 turnovers which they successfully converted to 28 big points.

The Rain Or Shine pick Nimes finally showed his form for the Cardinals after a poor showing in the past consecutive games.




Mapua reinforcement Allwell Oraeme also had 16 markers, while Darell Menina and Mark Brana made 14 baskets each respectively.

The Cardinals now sport a 12-6 slate after the double round robin eliminations.

Meanwhile, EAC finished with a worst 2-16 slate in NCAA 2015 standings.

Sydney Onwubere powered the Generals with 21 points, but graduated early to foul woes in the final frame.
