NAASCU: Centro Escolar University Scorpions slashes Saint Clare College of Caloocan Saints, 77-65, to lead in the elimination round in Season 15 NAASCU (National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities) Men’s Basketball this Monday at RTU Gym Mandaluyong City. Center Rodrigo Rebondo powered CEU with his 26 points, while JK Casino added 11 markers.

Ang sentrong si Rodrigo Rebondo ang bumalikat para sa CEU sa kanyang 26 puntos, at si JK Casino naman ay nagdagdag ng 11 buslo.
The battle in the paint proved positive for CEU as inside operators Ebondo, Joseph Celso and Joseph Manlangit teamed-up to clobber the Saints big boys.
In the third, with Alvin Detubio and Jeffakins Aguara lifting the Saints, they crept close to only a single digit deficit in the third canto, 52 to 53.
Unabated, Ebondo dropped 13 of his 26 in pay-off period, while Casino made 3 treys in the same fourth quarter for a 12 to 2 unanswered blast to assure the Scorpions victory.
Jordan Rios led the losing side of St Clare with 21 markers. Big man Jeffakins Aguara, who was limited by the defense of Ebondo, managed to contribute 13 points and 10 boards.
The victory assured CEU of an automatic semis berth.
