Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) reveals the members of the 24-Man Gilas Pilipinas pool submitted to FIBA Asia 2015 comittee. The temporary roster formed includes NBA standout Jordan Clarkson, who earlier was confirmed to be eligible to play for Pilipinas Basketball pending the approval of FIBA.

It may interpreted that the 24-Man pool is a safety measure since several players rejected inclusion into the Gilas roster for FIBA Asia 2015. The large list also ensures that amateur standouts can adapt well to the Gilas system.

Andray Blatche is the lone naturalized reinforcement of the Philippine Basketball Team. NBA veteran Jordan Clarkson is confirmed to be a natural born Filipino and holds a passport that passes FIBA requirements. Rosario, Tautuaa, Ravena and Parks are the amateur superstars, with Parks raring to join the NBA D-League team. The remaining players are all Pro stars of the PBA. Pingris, Fajardo, Tenorio, Lassiter and Lee all begged-off from the RP Five but were included in case they have a change of heart. Pingris, on the other hand, has already returned to Gilas fold.

The following names form the Gilas Pilipinas Pool in no particular order:

  • Andray Blatche
  • Jordan Clarkson

The FIBA Asia joust is the lone ticket to the upcoming Rio de Janeiro Olympic Basketball in Brazil.
