Gilas Pilipinas FIBA Asia Championship 2015 Schedule. Philippines undergoes three straight days of FIBA Asia preliminaries. Afterwards, they battle in the second round against Japan, Iran and India. If they qualify, they go to the quarterfinals, where they will either end-up in the Finals or the battle for medal placings.

Filipino: Schedule ng Gilas Pilipinas sa FIBA Asia Championship 2015. Tatlong araw ng eliminasyon ang lalahukan ng Pilipinas Basketball sa patimpalak ng FIBA Asia. Matapos nito ay ang ikalawang baitang kalaban ang Japan, Iran at India. Kung papalarin sila ay papasok sa Quarterfinals kung saan maaaring makarating sila sa Finals o mauwi sa labanan ng mga natirang medalya.

The Final Roster of Pilipinas includes Andray Blatche, Marc Pingris, Asi Taulava, Sonny Thoss, Ranidel de Ocampo, Terrence Romeo, Calvin Abueva, Dondon Hontiveros, Gabe Norwood, Matt Ganuelas Rosser, JC Intal and Jayson Castro.

Initial 24-Man Pool: Undergoing player exodus due to reported corporate rivalry, the depleted line-up of RP Five will be coached by mentor Tab Baldwin. Philippines initially submitted a 24-man pool to FIBA Asia committee which included Andray Blatche, Marc Pingris, Asi Taulava, Sonny Thoss, Moala Tuatuaa, Ranidel de Ocampo, Terrence Romeo, Troy Rosario, Calvin Abueva, Dondon Hontiveros, Jimmy Alapag, Gary David, Gabe Norwood, Matt Rosser, Aldrech Ramos, JC Intal and Jayson Castro.




Amateur standouts Bobby Ray Parks and Kiefer Ravena are also included. Though they begged-off from the roster, LA Tenorio, Marcio Lassiter and Junmar Fajardo still made it to the temporary pool.

Philippines is bracketed with Palestine, Kuwait and Hongkong in the first elimination round. Of the three, Palestine presents the biggest threat to Gilas.

After the preliminary round, Philippines enters the Second Round and will battle traditional powerhouse teams from Japan, Iran and India. Iran, the perennial Asian basketball champions, will be the biggest hurdle to Pilipinas Basketball aspiration for Gold.

Advancing to the Quarterfinals, Philippines will face a dangerous Lebanon NT.

After defeating Lebanon, Pilipinas battles bitter rival Japan NT at 9:30 PM on October 2, for the sure Silver Medal in the Semifinal deathmatch.

In a do-or-die game against a resilient Japan, Gilas prevailed and will now face China NT for the Gold Medal at 8:30 PM the 3rd of October.
